Basically the Sylhet Agricultural University has began its official function on 2nd November, 2006 subsequent issuance of a notification by the Government as per prerequisite of the “Sylhet Agricultural University Act 2006” which was exceeded in the National Parliament on 3rd October 2006. In actuality, the faculty of Veterinary and Animal Science has arrive into becoming through the up gradation of Sylhet Government Veterinary College (SGVC). The SGVC was organized in 1995 and had been performance as “School of Life Sciences” underneath ShahJalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet Bangladesh.
