SMUCT Admissions
- Regulations of Students Admission to SMUCT
- All students must satisfy the Government rules & regulation for access to any undergraduate program operating under the SMUCT.
- Any student arriving from a lesser association with a potential education certificate may be deemed for admission
- On the other hand concern may be giving to the subsequent groups of students.
- Students with Polytechnic Diploma under the Bangladesh Technical
- Education Board with minimum 3 to 4 years of students. (Credit transfer may be considered).
- If their qualifying measures is from an authorized University in Bangladesh or from
- UK, EU, USA, Australia, New Zealand, or an Organization with western affiliation and certification, they may gain credit transfer.
- If any students search for admission from any other institution (Diploma or other certificate) may submit equivalence certificate from headache Authority.
- 12 class High School Diploma.
SMUCT Foreign Baccalaureate/ other comparative degrees
Higher National Diploma students after conclusion, can use the HND
Superior standing to Honours, but will be essential to finished the
Common Core compulsory subjects before admission is given to the
junior Honours year (third year).
SMUCT National Diploma
Provisional admission is offered to applicants awaiting results of HSC/ A’ level and Foreign Baccalaureate examinations.
SMUCT Admission conditions for Honours Program:
SMUCT Faculty of Management & General Studies:
- SSC result: GPA 2. 50/ 2nd division and
- HSC result: GPA 2. 50/ 2nd division. Otherwise
- 5 “O” Level & 2 “A” Level: only one “E” (A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2 & E=1)
or
- SSC/HSC result GPA 2. 00 in any one examination but
- total GPA must be 6. 00 in both examinations. For Spouses of fighters:
- SSC/ HSC GPA 5. 00 in both examinations.
SMUCT Faculty of Design and Technology & Fine and Performing Arts:
Dept. of Interior Architecture/ Architecture:
- SSC result: minimum GPA 2. 50/ 2nd division and
- HSC result: minimum GPA 2. 50/ 2nd division. Otherwise
- 5 “O” Level & 2 “A” Level: only one “E” (A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2 & E=1)
Dept. of Fashion Design, AMM, Graphic Design, Fine Art and Music:
- SSC result: minimum GPA 2. 00/ 2nd division and
- HSC result: minimum GPA 2. 00/ 2nd division. Otherwise
- 5 “O” Level & 2 “A” Level: only one “E” (A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2 & E=1)
National Diploma (ND):
- SSC result: minimum GPA 2. 00 otherwise (A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2 & E=1)
Higher National Diploma (HND):
- SSC result: minimum GPA 2. 00 and HSC result: minimum GPA 2. 00
SMUCT Admission conditions for Masters Program (for all Departments):
- Only one 3rd class/ division will be recognized for admission into any
- Masters program. A Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in any discipline.
- Math is compulsory for all Science & Engineering department.
