The University of Arid Agriculture commonly known as UAAR is a public sector institution. The purpose of establishing this institution is to develop the rain-fed crops in Pakistan. Initially, it was a college and upgraded higher education institution in the year of 1994. The University of Arid Agriculture Rawalpindi has sub campuses in Khushab and Attock. The Pir Mehr Ali Shah, UAAR sub-campus Khushab was established in the year of 2007. The reason behind this campus is the agronomy Prospective and the environmental conditions of the region. The campus has two academic blocks, one for agriculture department and second is for a veterinary department. The campus building had been renovated in the same year for establishing the laboratories in both departments for practical work. There is still some construction work in progress for the establishment of livestock department and administration block.

Admission Procedure:
Admission forms along with the prospectus for the academic year of 2022 are available in the coordinator office of UAAR Rawalpindi and from UAAR sub-campus Khushab from 18th August 2022. Completely filled application forms must be submitted to the admission or coordinator office of any campus during the working hours before the deadline.
Eligibility Criteria:
For admission in F.Sc or diploma programs candidate must hold the matriculation degree ( biology, chemistry, physics and Mathematics) and secure the minimum 2nd division.
For bachelor’s programs candidate must possess HSSE degree of a respective field with at least 45% marks or 2.50/4.0 in CGPA system.
For Mcs, the student is requiring to get at least 14 years of education with a minimum of 45% marks.
